November reminds us all to fill our hearts with gratitude and our lives with family and friends. We are so very grateful to each of you for allowing us to share in the lives of your children. They light up our lives and give our days purpose. Thank you so much for your trust and support.

Can-a-thon 11/1-11/10

November 1st-10th, we have a canned food drive. Each classroom will be collecting cans. The classroom that collects the most cans will win a Pizza Party! Our Pre-K kiddos will drop the food off for us and tour the Central Texas Food Bank.

Veteran’s Day

La Mere has two wonderful veterans working here, Ms. Wanda in Suite 150 and Chef Latesha. Please, take an extra moment to give them a kind word or a “thank you” for their service to our country on November 11th.

Kid’s Night Out November 12th

Kids Night Out is the second Saturday of every month (excluding December) from 6:30pm to 11pm. Pizza, bounce house, games, and movie. This is for children in La Mere Academy’s Pre-K program and any kiddo age 5yrs. to 11yrs. Sign up at the front desk. $55

Thanksgiving Luncheon 11/16 and 11/17

Join us for a Thanksgiving Luncheon. We had such an incredible turn out for this event last year that we’re splitting it into two days this year.

• Families with students in Preschool (Ms. Jane, Ms. Leticia, Ms. Venee, Ms. Kristen and Ms. Micheal’s classes) are invited to join us November 16th at 11am in your child’s classroom.
• Families with students in the Infant/Toddler and Pre-K classes are invited to join us November 17th at 11am in your child’s classroom.

Mickey Mouse’s Birthday 11/18

La Mere Academy loves all things Disney! Naturally that includes Mickey Mouse! His 94th birthday is November 18th. Wear your best Mickey or Minnie outfit or costume and we’ll enjoy a cupcake to celebrate this iconic guy.

Pie Bake and Take

Join our chefs for a fun, interactive baking class. Come sip some wine, hang out with other La Mere parents, and have your pies deliciously baked and ready for Thursday. This $45 class includes two pies and some wine. Sign up link is available in the newsletter e-mail.

School Closure 11/24-11/25

La Mere Academy will be closed Thursday, November 24, 2022 and Friday, November 25, 2022 for Thanksgiving. Enjoy this time with your family. We’ll see you Monday.
