October is always packed full of extra fun at La Mere. Trunk or Treat and our big Costume Parade and Trick or Treating though the school.

Staffing changes

We have had some staffing changes the past few weeks that you may have noticed. Ms. Leticia needed a slightly slower pace but, we just can’t let her go so, she has moved to the front desk to greet you and answer your phone calls. Ms. Nichola has taken her place in 350 and is doing a FABULOUS job! Ms. Jessy is also, taking a slight step back. She has gone part-time and will be assisting in many classrooms. Ms. Kayla is our new lead in Suite 300. She has great early preschool experience and we are thrilled that she’s chosen to make La Mere her new home. Ms. Emily is of student teaching and, we welcomed Ms. Alyssa in Pre-k. She’s rocking it! Coach Ashley is also doing a phenomenal job with our athletics class! Next week we will welcome Chef Randal Harrington in the kitchen. Ms. Kim and Ms. Andrea have switch places to accommodate some schedule changes. Chris Lucas is our new facilities manager and Mr. Riley is our new custodian. We also, have quite a few new assistant teachers.

While we were sad to say goodbye to so many of our tenured staff members, we wish them well as they grow in their careers and personal lives. And we are so so pleased to have found this wonderful new group of people to join our team and help care for and educate our littles.

Fall Picture Days October 3rd & 4th

Pictures will begin at 9am. If you’d like your child changed out of their picture outfit after, please, send a change of clothes in a labeled bag and communicate with your teachers.

World Teachers’ Day October 5, 2024

Drop your teachers a happy note or share some extra kind words on Friday as we celebrate our incredible teachers.

Trunk or Treat October 26, 2024

La Mere Academy is hosting a trunk or treat on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm. Bounce House, pizza, face painting, popcorn, and cotton candy. Come have some family fun!

Halloween Costume Parade October 31st

Our kiddos are going to show off their Halloween costumes with a parade through the parking lot continued by trick or treating through the school.
Infant/Toddler Parade 9:30am Suites 100, 150, 200, 250 (Ms. Jessica, Ms. Mariangeli, Ms. Shu and Ms. Shek’s classes.)
Preschool and Pre-K Parade 10:10am Suites 300, 350, 400, 450, 500 (Ms. Kayla, Ms. Nicola, Ms. Lisa, Ms. Olivia, and Pre-K)
The parking lot will be cleared of ALL vehicles and closed at 9:00am!
We will need parent volunteers to help pass out candy. Please email Ms. Tiffany if you are interested.
