Woohoo! Summer is upon us, so time for some relaxation and fun in the sun. Our classes will transition to a more relaxed summer curriculum this month, and there will be a splash day once a week. Our summer curriculum will follow our summer camp themes this year. We’re going to learn through play all summer long! Please scroll down for more splash day information.
We apologize for the longer newsletter this month to cover all the exciting upcoming events and a few housekeeping rules.
Father’s Day Celebration June 13th
We’re celebrating dads this month with hotdogs and cold drinks on the lawn to celebrate all that you do! (We subscribe to the broader meaning of the word “dad”. Step-dad, grandfather, uncle, family friend, etc., if you’re fulfilling that role, we’re celebrating you.)
Last year, we had the most phenomenal turnout of fathers. Let’s keep it up!
Pixar Day June 27th
We are celebrating all things Pixar! Come dressed as your favorite Pixar or Disney character. We’ll have fun photo booths and interactive moments around the school on this day! We’re going to have a LOT of fun with it!!

Splash Day
Splash Day is all about creating joyful memories and kicking off the warm season with excitement and play!
Please have the kiddos dressed for splash day (in their swim wear, water shoes, swim diaper with sunscreen applied) before drop-off.
Remember to bring an extra change of clothes.
Parking Lot Rules
Please follow the designated path of the driveway to the right and slow down for pedestrians. No parking should block the crosswalks to the front main entrance.
Please be sure that you are parking in designated parking spots. Fire lanes must be kept clear for safety purposes. Even if you just leave your car running or are exiting the driver’s seat for any amount of time, your car must be in a parking spot.
Fines will be enforced.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! We are trying to keep everyone safe!
Withdrawing
This time of year is always bittersweet. We have some families leaving us for big kid school.
Parents may withdraw their child from La Mère Academy by giving written notice of intent to withdraw at least a calendar month in advance. The child’s last day will be the last day of the next calendar month. Charges are incurred until the child’s last day.
For example, notice given May 7th, the child’s last day will be June 30th. If notice was given on June 24th, the last day will be July 31st.
Please give us as much notice as possible to make sure billing is done correctly.
Notifying your child’s teacher does not satisfy the requirement of this policy. Please keep us informed of their enrollment by emailing billing@lamereacademy.com. Please include your child’s name, classroom, and last day of enrollment.
