It’s time to March on into Spring, y’all! Warmer weather, daylight savings, bluebonnets! Who’s ready?! We sure are. Our annual Holi celebration is March 8th. We’re kicking off spring in the most fun and colorful way.

School Begins at 8:30am

Please, remember that instructional time begins by 9:00am in ALL classes. It’s very important that children arrive by 8:30am for morning snack and circle times.

Holi Celebration

Wednesday, March 8th we will celebrate the Hindu festival known as Holi. Holi marks the beginning of spring and the blossoming of love. We ask that students come to school in inexpensive, white clothing and shoes. They will come home a riot of color. This is one of the most fun days here at La Mere!

We buy high quality, non-toxic Holi powder. In our experience, this powder mostly washes out. If your child is extremely blonde, we recommend a leave in conditioner in their hair on this day.

Mr. Keegan

We said farewell to Mr. Keegan last week. And while he asked for us to keep things low key, we couldn’t possibly say nothing. After much debate and consideration, Keegan decided to step away from La Mere Academy in hopes of finding a schedule more conducive to the needs of their family.

We want to express our sincerest gratitude for everything he contributed to our school and, for the way he motivated others to do the same. Keegan poured his heart into La Mere Academy and propelled our school to its current success.

Mr. Keegan’s ability to connect with all of the children was a tremendous joy and will be truly missed by each one. We will cherish our fun memories, but find comfort in knowing Mr. Keegan with continue to support and participate in La Mere special events.
