April is packed full of Spring Time fun! Family picnics, Spring Pictures and a full week of fun dedicated to celebrating young children. Be sure to check the calendar for all the information.
Spring Picture Days April 2nd and 3rd
Wear your spring-y best! Pre-K will also, take cap and gown pictures Tuesday, April 9th!
Monday April 8th
On April 8th our Pre-Kindergarteners will learn about and view the solar eclipse and will not be napping. We have purchased proper viewing glasses and will be making sure that students are not looking at the eclipse without their glasses on.
We believe the rest of our students are too young to grasp the concept and they will be napping through it. If you’d like your younger child to experience the eclipse, you are more than welcome to pick them up early. We will have their teachers get them ready for you rather than laying them down for a nap.
Lightning McQueen’s Birthday
It’s Lightning McQueen’s birthday! We are going to celebrate with our first ever La Mere Academy Grand Prix. Much like our Red, White and Blue bike parade, we will do it in waves but, this time Powerwheels cars are welcome. Please, label your child’s vehicle of choice and park it out front in their classrooms designated area.

Pre-K Parent Meeting April 17th
Wednesday April 17, 2024 at 5:45pm we will host our annual Pre-Kindergarten parent meeting. This meeting is for parents with children entering our Pre-K program in the fall and any existing Pre-K parents who may like to join us. This is an informative meeting about the program and, what to expect.
Chef Breea
Chef Breea and her husband welcomed a healthy baby boy, Kohen into their family on Sunday March 31st. Naturally, she will be out on maternity leave for the next 6 weeks. Chef Christian will be filling in for her in the mean time working under Chef Latesha.
Pre-Kindergarten Graduation
Pre-Kindergarten Graduation
will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, at 5:30 pm at Park Social in Cedar Park. Invitations and tickets will be out next week. Family will receive 4 tickets additional tickets can be purchased for $10.
Cap and gown photos will be taken on Tuesday, April 9th.
